One of the new homes is complete and the other is well under way.

The unemployment rate in Bluefields is about 80% and many parents take jobs on the cruise ships. They are gone at sea for 9 months at a time and many will leave their young children in the care of older children.

The church will be able to house and care for 12 children in each home. The parents pay boarding fees to enroll their children in these homes. This helps to cover the costs of running these homes.

Each home will have staff members who live in the houses and take care of the kids.
