JUNE 17, 2007 - The girls soccer team is winning more than just games. Young ladies are being won for the Lord and brought into His kingdom.

The entire girls soccer team (the Teenagers) came today after they had won today. They played against a team called Bravas and won. They all came in uniform. Previous to this only two had come to sunday school, but today nine came to church.

The soccer team was organized two months ago. This team was one that was organized by one member of the church apart from the church. Ricardo helped to organize and sponsor them and he brought them to Bethel three times per week for practice as a condition for being a part of the team. Before each training, they have a short devotional that Victor or Onell do before they lead practice.

As a result there are two young girls that have accepted the Lord. The season is six months long, so these girls will have a lot of good exposure to the church and the things of the Lord.

New Church Planted

During the month of January 2007, the people of Bethel Baptist Church in Bluefields started a new church in Kukra Hill.

Roadwork Begins

The heavy equipment has begun moving dirt to pave the road to the church. This will make it much easier to get to the church.
