Safe Harbor Opens

JULY 2007 - Construction has been completed and the first two children moved into the facility at the end of January.

There is a brother and a sister whose mother has been working on the ships for five years. The mother had tried to have others care for the children and it did not work out. She was really relieved to find out that this facility was available. Both children have accepted the Lord. The boy is 13 years old and he is growing and his attitude has been growing so well.

Other parents have been interviewed and next Saturday another boy will be enrolling in the safe harbor program. He had been staying with his grandmother and she could not keep him at home. At Safe Harbor, he will have a structured environment with plenty of healthy activities. He was very happy to come to Safe Harbor.

The pictures tell more of the story. Click on any picture to enlarge.

This is a picture of Duren, who Vital and Ketly spoke of in their journal. These children's aunts brought them to Safe Harbor because their mother was already in the ship.
