Thursday Bible Study

JUNE O1 , 2006 - Iglesia Bethel held its weekly Bible Study at a home in the Pancasan neighborhood.

Each Thursday the church holds a Bible Study at a home of one of the people in the church. Many times, they choose a home where only one family member is a believer and the rest do not come to church

Packed House

Since most of the homes are fairly small, the crowd of 30 or more spreads out the front door and onto the porch and sidewalk.

The study begins with about a half hour or more of singing a capella with testimonies and prayer mixed in as the Lord leads.

Wonderful Testimony

One of the church members, Luanni, a college aged young lady, shared a great testimony. She had gone to the hospital because she was in some pain. She met her father there (whom she had not seen for a year). Her father was having a nervous breakdown. She took her Bible out of her backpack and explained to him that he needed to accept Christ. He prayed to receive Christ right there and by the time she was done sharing with him, her pain was gone and she could not even remember when it went away.

Bible Study

One of the church members leads the group in a study of the Bible. This night, Tim Mott, a frequent visitor from Dallas led the Bible Study based on Jesus account of the wise man and the foolish man, with the admonition to build your life on a solid foundation.

Decisions for Christ

After Tim's talk, Vital gave an exhortation (he is so good at that). Two people shared decisions for Christ. One was a 19 year old named Roger and the other was 6 year old named Kendall.

The Ride Home

After the study, Pastor Vital's truck turns into a church bus with as many as twenty people packed into the back and more in the cab. You can look at the picture of the truck below.

One of these days, the city will pave the road to the church and the Lord will see fit to bless us with a bus.
